While inventing the punk rock, Malcolm McLaren plundered far and wide. Prowling the sordid streets of Seventies New York, he entered a dark and dismal basement shop selling all kinds of deviant and disgusting merchandise. Amongst the tattered clothing for sale, this t-shirt caught his eye and stirred his imagination. Back in his London hovel, Malcolm expertly copied the drawing then considered how he could make it even more offensive. His dislike of mothers surfaced once again so he added some text styled in the fashion of his friend in filth, Russ Meyer. Et voila, another piece of the punk puzzle was inserted.
