March 25th The Sex Pistols play at Hertfordshire College of Art in St Albans again. This proves to be the last of their early provincial gigs before arriving on the London scene with a vengence.
March 30th The first of several gigs by the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club in Oxford St London . Ron Watts had seen the group play in february and booked them to play at his club which was famous at the time for jazz and blues. In true unpredictable style Rotten left the club mid set and was pursued into the street by Malcolm McLaren desperate to get him back on stage. They returned only to find that Steve Jones had torn the strings off his guitar in frustration at Rottens behaviour and so the band were unable to carry on.
