homemade or adapted, punk clothing went against all that mainstream fashion
stood for.
Westwood
and McLaren used fetish clothing in a new and dangerous way, kids were ripping
up cheap jackets and safety pinning them back together. The idea was do-it
yourself and the look was provocative. Flares were out , hair was short ,
attitudes were razor-sharp.
We
are aiming to create reproductions of some of the key items of clothing which
have become punk icons.
